The Husky Champion Club

HCC started with a hand full of parents who saw a need and decided to do something about it.  Did you know that high school athletics receive no property tax dollars?  HCC is a 501C3 not for profit organization.  Meaning that donations are tax deductible.  At the request of the Hamilton Heights School Board we are trying to become an ALL SPORT Booster Club. One of the first things HCC did was survey our coaches to see the needs of each program.  This survey was then shared with our School Administration and needless to say we have seen the dug outs repaired and work on the tennis courts.  It is my understanding that the school corporation is up grading the HVAC in the high school gymnasium.  HCC is trying to get the word out and get everyone on board.  This has been quite the task.

Since our inception HCC has given out a total of four $500 scholarships and one $250 scholarship.  These scholarships have gone to athletes going to Division 2, Division 3 or NAIA schools.  These athletes are currently participating in volleyball, soccer, basketball and baseball.

HCC is currently working with Jarrod Mason on membership perks.  Todd Clevenger is designing an e-newsletter. Visit our website at www.huskychampionclub.org.    It is our intent to eventually run the concessions at all high school sporting events.  This would allow monies raised to stay in the school system and be divided between the Athletic Department, individual sports teams and HCC.  However, to do this we need to grow our membership and continue to think outside the box.

HCC is hosting the Annual Morse Mini and 5K Walk/Run.  Visit the Morse Mini website at www.morsemini.com.  HCC will finish the baseball/football locker room expansion and move out to the soccer/softball field locker room/concession project.  This is where we need your help.  In order for this event to succeed we need approximately 500 volunteers.  HCC will give 1% of our net proceeds to men and women high school sports team who help with this event.

If you have further questions about HCC please ask.  HCC meets the first and third Tuesday of each month at 7 p.m. at HHHS room 500.
